A coach can be thought of as a mentor or a guide who works with individuals to help them use their energy and potential, create and shape their goals, and achieve desired outcomes. The coaching relationship is designed to help the client improve their performance and lead a more fulfilled life.In the realm of addiction, coaching centers on topics that will help the Addicted Individual maintain their abstinence and continue to grow in a recovery lifestyle. Again, the topics and issues are self-guided by the client and do not focus on healing the past, but staying in the present moment and moving forward in making positive changes.LifeSkills Authorities offers holistic solutions to some of our clients’ issues that they want to address. We use a comprehensive approach that addresses fitness, nutrition, stress management, work-life balance, Executive Coaching or career development, along with many other healthy coping strategies. The results are improved relationships and a better quality of life.Coaching is not therapy. Therapy can be thought of as a process to heal the past. However, coaching is a relationship that is focused on the present and moving forward into the future. Many of our clients may already be working with a therapist and/or psychiatrist. However, if they are not currently in a formal therapeutic relationship, and issues arise that need a qualified therapist or medical professional, we strive to have competent referrals to deal with the issues appropriately.
