Recovery Care Coaching
LifeSkills Authorities prefers to begin the coaching relationship while the client is in treatment. This allows us to stay abreast of our client's progress as we develop their customized LSA Recovery Coaching plan. During the stabilization phase (while in a treatment center), LSA assembles a customized LSA Recovery Team to address the client's specific needs after they complete the treatment facility's suggested program.
Prior to leaving treatment
The LSA Specialist also participates (in person) for portions of the client's discharge program/meetings at the treatment facility, prior to accompanying them back home. This cutting-edge and seamless approach is extremely popular with the clinicians and the entire treatment team, as well as the client. Why? Because LSA's extremely proactive approach is collaborative with the treatment facility's discharge plan, proactive, and helps to prevent the struggle that most afflicted individual's face during this crucial transition back to the "real world." LSA turns this fear-filled transition that is often mishandled, into a positive experience in planning for long-term positive change. The LSA Specialist then accompanies the client on their journey from the treatment facility back to their home (whether it is down the street or across the country). Take a look at some of the Advantages you or your loved one will have as a LSA Recovery Coaching client.
After successful completion of a treatment program
As mentioned above, LSA accompanies the client from the treatment facility to their home and then stays nearby for a 2-3 day period. During these initial days post-treatment, we introduce the LSA Recovery Coaching approach to our client and work with them as a co-architect to the plan for continued growth and change. During this 2-3 day period, we also accompany our client to their initial sessions with Recovery Team members. We work with our Coaching clients in a very transparent manner and encourage them to sign releases to enable their Recovery Team professionals to collaborate openly (which will best help the client and eliminate secrets that will destroy the progress and growth we are working to achieve).
LSA Recovery Crisis Coaching
After the first few days post-treatment, the LSA Recovery Coach stays in daily contact with the client (via weekly in-person meetings, 2-3 phone (or virtual) sessions lasting 20-30 minutes, and daily check-in's) during what is called the LSA Recovery Crisis Coaching phase. This phase provides extraordinary support for the client in the "real world" setting and will typically last about four (4) weeks or until the LSA Recovery Coach, certain Recovery Team professionals, and the client decide together that it is appropriate to move to a less intense frequency of coaching.
LSA Recovery Coaching
LSA will continue to work with the afflicted individual for the balance of the 6-month or 12-month agreement. The plan for continued success will have begun, and the LSA Coach will then meet with the client on a weekly basis (60-90 minute sessions). This will enable LSA to continue to support them, maintain the sense of accountability when most newly recovering individuals become lax, and ensure the client has the best resources for continued dramatic change and prosperity. These weekly sessions, the accountability to the other Recovery Team members, and the coordination of all these resources through the LSA Recovery Coaching plan will produce a success and change that most afflicted individuals and their families do not even believe is possible unless they have experienced the difference LSA will make during the first year of recovery...and for many years to follow.
The transition from a safe, stable treatment environment and the first year of recovery in general can be extremely difficult. As a result, LSA envelops its clients in an extremely high level of support, with a collaborative and accountable relationship so they can succeed in their new lifestyle. The relationship between the afflicted individual and their LSA Recovery Coach can be the difference between successful continued recovery and the all too common relapse. One of our goals at LifeSkills Authorities is to have independent validation (a key in truly studying success rates, rather than just a random unscientific claim) to demonstrate that our program (pre-intervention work with loved ones, Family Meetings, family intensives, and LSA Recovery Coaching programs) produces unprecedented success rates that are between 85-95%*.
* Independent validation is currently underway to study LSA's programs and the comprehensive LSA Recovery Coaching model
