Psychologist, Biofeedback Specialist
Dr. Eugénie Pabst is a clinical psychologist who specializes in Biofeedback therapy. By utilizing Biofeedback, Dr. Pabst teaches her clients a self-regulation skill that inspires growth and healing through self-awareness. Her clients are able to learn how their bodies respond to stress by using non-invasive instruments that measure physiological processes such as respiration, heart rate, and muscle tension. These responses are visually depicted on a monitor (or television screen) for the client’s immediate observation. Dr. Pabst strongly believes that Biofeedback offers a complementary approach to healing that has greatly helped her clients; it empowers clients to take more responsibility for their own healing process.
Dr. Pabst received her Masters and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. She did extensive training at the Pain and Rehabilitation Clinic of Chicago, Veterans Affairs Pacific Islands Health Care System in Honolulu, Hawaii and at Kaiser Permanente in Campbell, California. Dr. Pabst has been practicing Biofeedback for ten years. She is a sought after Biofeedback specialist for chronic pain patients in Chicagoland and has a private practice Lincoln Park.
