Charles D. Miller is the founder of Charles D. Miller & Associates, Ltd., a wealth and estate planning organization. Early in his career, he practiced law and managed a large closely held business. In 1980, he entered the financial coaching field. Charles earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation in 1984 and the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation in 2002. Working with a Chicago-based CPA firm, Charles has helped many of its clients with their estate planning, investments and retirement strategies, as well as providing his own client base with these same services.
Charles holds a bachelors degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin School of Business as well as a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Law. His true purpose for money is to provide comfort and make life better, not only for himself, but also for his family, friends and clients. Charles has extensive experience in successfully helping his clients, their families, and in many cases their businesses achieve their financial goals. As a member of the LifeSkills Authorities Recovery Team, Charles uses his calm, understanding, and professional demeanor to guide his clients to find their true purpose for money and help them develop a realistic plan for the future based on this purpose as well as their goals.
Mark E. Cieslak, CPA/PFS

Mark Cieslak has a wide-range of experience in retirement plans, executive compensation, and investments. Prior to joining Charles D. Miller & Associates, Mark worked for over 20 years at a Fortune 100 insurance company and 8 years at a Big 4 public accounting firm. Mark was also the Plan Administrator for a 401(k) savings plan with $4.2 billion in assets (in 2007) and 46,000 participants. His background includes extensive and detailed planning directly related to the accomplishment of his clients' financial goals.
Mark is a graduate of Northern Illinois University (BS Accounting) and the University of Chicago Booth School of Business (MBA Finance). He is a CPA and has been granted the distinguished Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation from the AICPA and is a candidate for the CFP Board's certification. Mark understands that many of LSA's clients have had extremely successful careers or an income stream due to family investment vehicles. However, they may need a current objective look at their portfolio to make sure that they are on track to attain their goals. As part of the LifeSkills Authorities Recovery Team, Mark's experience as well as his understanding and positive nature will also help dispel the fears of financial insecurity that may have developed during the addiction.
